Biography:
Petropoulos Vassilios, (1938-2008) Senior Researcher Research Center for Astron. and Applied Mathematics, Academy of Athens, Greece. He was born in Athens, Greece and received the B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Bordeaux, France (1961) and the M.Sc. (1968) and the Doctorat d’ Etat (1974) both from the University of Paris VI, France. He has worked as Researcher at C.N.R.S. of France (1961-74) and associated scientist at the School of Physics and Mathematics of the University of Patras, Greece (1974-75). His scientific interests included atomic and molecular Physics, Solar and Planetary Physics, Cosmic Radiation and Solar- Terrestrial Relations.
