Biography:
Lecturer (Retired), Physics Department, University of Athens, Greece. She was born in Athens, Greece and obtained her B.Sc. in Physics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1972) and her Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the Department of Physics of the University of Athens, Greece. She has worked as scientific collaborator in a research program at National Research Foundation (1973-1975) and as Laboratory Assistant at the Laboratory of Astronomy of the University of Athens (1975-1991). Her scientific interests include Solar Physics, Solar and Stellar Spectroscopy, Applied Optics, History and Philosophy of Astronomy.
