Biography:
Professor and Dean, Academic Affairs Broward College (USA). He was born in Zografou, Chalkidiki, Greece, on the 13th of February 1961. He received his B.Sc. from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (1982), the M.Sc. from the University of Rochester, U.S.A. and the Ph.D. in Physics from the same University (1988). He has worked as Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alabama (1988-91) and as Visiting Researcher at the University of Rochester (1991-92). His scientific interests are centered on the Structure and Evolution of the stars (Pulsating degenerate stars, Neutron stars, Protostars etc). He is a member of the International Astronomical Union (IAU), of the American Astronomical Society and of the Hellenic Astronomical Society (Hel.A.S.).
