Biography:
High-school (IB) Maths Teacher, Psychico College, Athens. He was born in Athens, Greece, on the 24th of June, 1972. He received his B.Sc. in Mathematics from the University of Athens (1996), and his Ph.D. in Astrophysics from the University of Wales, Cardiff, U.K. (2000). His scientific interests include Star and Planet Formation, Numerical Hydrodynamics, Instabilities in Accretion Discs, Galactic Dynamics. He has published 12 papers in scientific refereed journals and 24 papers in conference proceedings and special volumes. He has been Research Assistant, Cardiff University, U.K. (1999), Research Associate, IAA-National Observatory of Athens (2002-2004), European Marie-Curie Fellow, Astrophysikalisches Institut Potsdam, Germany (2004-2008). He is a member of the Hellenic Astronomical Society (Hel.A.S.).
